Alongside his work at AG & Co Health, Gurmat works within NHS Children and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS), supporting children and young people across Telford & Wrekin and Shropshire.

For people travelling from Shrewsbury, we offer face-to-face appointments at our Telford clinic.
Our clinic is at Admaston House in Admaston, on the northern edge of Wellington, around 12 miles from Shrewsbury. By car it's roughly 25 minutes, but if you'd rather not drive, direct trains run from Shrewsbury to Wellington in about 15 minutes, with services roughly every half hour, and the clinic is a short taxi ride from Wellington station.

What does the ADHD assessment process look like?
If you're considering an ADHD assessment, it's natural to want to know what will happen before you begin. How much does a private ADHD assessment cost?
Our private ADHD assessments are currently £500 for adults and £750 for children. This fee includes a comprehensive assessment, using DSM-5 criteria and in line with NICE guidance, along with a detailed report and our professional recommendations. Our initial 30-minute consultation is free.

How long does an ADHD assessment take?
The assessment itself usually lasts between 2 and 3 hours, though it may take longer for children. But before your appointment, we'll provide you with a comprehensive pre-assessment pack that gathers information across multiple areas and stages of your or your child's life.
Will I receive an ADHD diagnosis on the same day?
Sometimes we may be able to discuss the likely outcome with you soon after your assessment. However, we don't rush this decision. Gurmat takes time to review your clinical interview, pre-assessment information, developmental history, and any extra information provided before confirming an outcome.
Do I need a GP referral for a private ADHD assessment?
No. If you are booking a private ADHD assessment at AG & Co Health, you do not need a doctor's referral. You can contact us directly through our website for advice and to understand whether an assessment is the right choice for you.
